Michael Atria; I have 40+ years' experience in violin, viola, and cello restoration/repairs; as well as bow re-hair. I am also a violin maker.  I am passionate about giving back to the music community. I am the author of "Violin Repair Guide", published by Hal Leonard in 2004. I will continue to give back to the music community through my thousands of instrument repairs for many more years.

Biography

I was maybe 5 years old when I first helped my Dad put clamps on instruments he was repairing. I had my own apron with the words "Daddy's little helper" stitched into it. This will always be the memory I have when I think back on how I first started with this craft.  It was the beginning to a long road of completing my first Violin. My name is Mathew Atria, I have 10+ years' experience in violin, viola, and cello restoration/repairs; as well as bow re-hair. I finished my first Violin in 2019. I will continue to hone this craft and make many more Violins in the future.
